Dozer Blade Reskin Access Platform
AP-121 / RB-683 (1200)
AP-122 / RB-682 (1800)
The Dozer Blade Reskin Access Platform is a specialised maintenance platform designed to provide safe, elevated access to the blade mouldboard (skin), cutting edges, and wear components during refurbishment or “reskinning” of mining dozer blades. Blade reskinning involves replacing worn steel plates, edges, and wear components—tasks that require close, stable access to large vertical and curved surfaces, often in workshop environments.
Key Functions
Provides safe access to full blade face (mouldboard) during reskinning
Enables welding, grinding, and fitting of new skin plates and wear parts
Eliminates climbing on blade surfaces or using temporary scaffolding
Improves efficiency for major blade rebuilds and repairs
The Over Blade Dozer Access Platform is a specialised access system designed to provide safe working access over the top of a dozer blade (mouldboard) for maintenance, inspection, and repair tasks. Unlike standard side or track access platforms, this system is engineered to bridge over the blade, allowing personnel to safely reach the top lip, spill plate, and front face without climbing on the blade itself.
These platforms are commonly used on large mining dozers (e.g. D10 / D11 class) where blade height and curvature make safe access difficult.
Available as CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hitachi.
